Alyssa is a twenty-something who has lived in New Jersey her whole life and therefore speaks sarcasm as a second language. She’s been telling stories since she was old enough to first take crayon to paper, and she’s been on the Internet since 1997 – almost continuously, if family and friends are to be believed. Her obsessions interests include horror, sci-fi, steampunk and superheroes and she’s been known to write collaboratively about any or all of these at various text-based games over the years.

When she isn’t writing or being a superhero on the Internet, Alyssa divides her time between her job at a bookstore and her work as the Production Assistant/Webmistress/Tech Guru at her husband’s website, Mario Likes Movies.

About the Site

The website http://lyssa.org was created back in May of 2000.  It’s served mainly as a storage hub for the various graphics and information pages that were being used on a number of online roleplaying games scattered throughout the Internet, though it also tended to contain some writings and poems which have (perhaps fortunately) since been lost to the digital wind.  There was a period of time when the site was redesigned roughly every month, but around version 13, it fell into a state of neglect for over a year.

This latest incarnation marks the first time in the site’s 11+ year history that it hasn’t been coded entirely by hand and it is now powered by WordPress.
